Here it is - the treatment method many people have been waiting for... Intermittent lower body negative pressure therapy with the
VACUMED® device represents innovation and state-of-the-art technology in the battle against leg and vascular diseases.
The principle of the VACUMED® lies in space medicine. No astronaut can do without the lower body negative pressure device (LBNPD) in manned space travel in order to keep fit in the
weightlessness of space and maintain the arterial blood supply of the lower extremities.
Numerous tests carried out by NASA and the German Space Agency verify drastic capillary dilation and capillarisation together with an increase in micro and macroperfusion in the lower extremities.
Long-term application with negative pressure has shown no side effects. Even poorly perfused, ischaemic tissue is revitalised in this way. The aim: an effective therapy for leg and vascular diseases.
In contrast to the LBNPD used by space medicine, the VACUMED® pulses negative pressure at adjustable intervals.
The VACUMED® acts like a pump, or more precisely, like an external heart for the lower body. Intermittent waves of negative pressure and
normal atmospheric pressure bring about capillarisation and capillary dilation: they suck fresh blood containing oxygen and nutrients into the extremities.
Vacumed® - indications
» cellulite syndrome
» lymph drainage - elimination of waste products + toxins
» oxygenation of the blood, elimination of lactic acid
» tissue firming/toning/reshaping
» heavy, tired legs, oedemas, spider veins
» peripheral OAD (peripheral occlusive arterial disease)
» malperfusion in the case of paraplegia
» diabetic microangiopathy
» chronic venous insufficiency (postthrombotic syndrome)
» prophylaxis of vascular and leg diseases (e.g. varicose veins)
» thrombosis prophylaxis
» vascular training
» wellness ∓ vitality
Treatments with the VACUMED® device are very pleasant for the patient.Usually the patient remains dressed
(only shoes and belt are removed). It is easy to enter the "space tube" through an iris seal. The iris is closed and secured simply by turning and is resistant to atmospheric pressure and negative
pressure.
In the 1st lower pressure phase (negative pressure), the arteries swell as plasma and oxygen begin to flow. The now O2 enriched blood helps to raise the pH in those areas, making this an excellent
treatment for sports people and for those with leg pathologies. O2 levels also increase throughout the rest of the body, improving rejuvenation and feelings of well-being.A pH-balanced body is the
pre-requisite for the healthy production of collagen fibres - the building blocks of soft tissue.
In the normal pressure phase (atmospheric pressure) venous blood and lymphis pressed back to the trunk. This means a
relief for the reflux and CO2 and any waste products can be transported away. The increase of micro-perfusion and simultaneous increase of lymph drainage and removal of lymph-dependent waste also
leads to natural purification of the interstitium - and, in many cases, to a change of the pH level in the alkaline direction.
Since the lymphatic system is the body's "garbage system", and since celluliteis the "result" of weak tissue and failing lymph drainage, external, mechanical lymph drainage is the
answer for many people with this problem. The VACUMED®acts as a Lower Body Negative Pressure Device, as used by astronauts in space, and has been known to have an optimal effect on
cellulite, varicose veins and other leg problems like lymph oedemas and ulcers. 'The VACUMED® is the highlight of the Differentiated Cellulite Treatment ® and the heart of the
High Care - Future Health Centers.
The new intermittent negative pressure therapy is interesting for a whole range of complimentary indications, for example as a means of firming connective tissue(increase of collagen
synthesis) or as a treatment of so-called cellulite, which is now recognized as being a local lymph circulation disorder.
In addition to the general technical patents an international patent has been granted to the method for this indication. The VACUMED® is innovative top technology and is the
latest development from WEYERGANS HIGH CARE MEDICAL.
Between 8 to 22 percent of the population have a peripheral occlusive arterial disease (OAD) - according to a report from the 22nd European Cardiology Congress, Amsterdam. And the tendency is
rising! Seven percent of patients have to undergo an amputation within five years; this risk is increased to as much as 30 percent for diabetics. Due to the high cardiovascular risk, not only the
extremities but also the lives of the patients are in danger. So great significance should be attached to therapy and prevention.
